When you customise a product you choose a finish for each print area. The options are listed by the names you see in the builder, and "What's the difference?" next to them compares them side by side. There is no minimum quantity on garments: you can order a single item.
DTF (direct to film)
A smooth, thin layer on top of the fabric with the brightest, strongest colours, including on dark garments. Works on almost any fabric, including polyester and blends. Holds fine lines and solid colour equally well and stays bright through repeated washing (wash inside out). Best for bold graphics and anything going onto a dark or mixed-fabric garment. The safe choice for most designs.
DTG (direct to garment)
The softest finish: you can barely feel the print. Colours look natural and slightly softer than DTF, especially on dark garments. Needs a high cotton garment and is not available on polyester. The best choice for photos, gradients and very fine detail, and it fades gently over time the way a printed garment normally does.
Embroidery
Embroidery is not available to order at the moment, even where a product's Print areas tab or the catalogue's "Print method" filter still lists it. For reference, it is a raised, textured finish that lasts longest: thread does not fade or crack. Colours are matched to thread, so gradients and photos are not possible, and very small text or thin lines do not come out cleanly. It suits logos and short text on polos, caps, fleece and workwear.
Sublimation
Currently offered on mugs only. Check the product page's Print areas tab for what each product supports.
Which products support which finish?
Filter /catalogue by "Print method", or open a product and look at its Print areas tab. Not every area can be combined with every other on one garment; the builder marks those "Not with current selection".
